This week, around 500 interdisciplinary experts from 80 countries are gathering in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils (AMGFC).
This year, AMGFC is centred around three core themes: innovation for inclusive growth; climate action, nature protection and the energy transition; and building trust for global collaboration.
Professor Xiaobo Wu, the Director of NIIM, and Professor Can Huang, the Executive Director of NIIM, were invited to attend the Meeting and respectively participated in the discussions of the Global Future Council on the Future of Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains and the Global Future Council on the Future of Technology Policy. At the Meeting, they shared insights, explored emerging trends and fast-track action aimed at creating a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable future with other participants.
The World Economic Forum’s network of Global Future Councils is the world’s foremost multistakeholder and interdisciplinary knowledge network dedicated to promoting innovative thinking to shape a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable future. Each council’s insights are taken forward by the Forum’s ongoing initiatives, communities and meetings to ensure impact.
