On October 10^th, more than 200 experts and senior leaders form education department and local universities all over the country got together at Chong Qing to participate in “the 1^st Senior Forum for Science and Technology Innovation in University” which was jointly hosted by Science and Technology committee of Education Department, Education Committee of Chongqing and Chongqing Jiaotong University. This forum aimed at promoting the successful implementation of Innovative Country Strategy and developing the important role of local universities in regional science and technology innovation in order to cultivate innovative talents for local economics and social development. The participants conducted deep discussion on “Industry, College, Institution and regional innovation ability” and “Creative talents and innovative culture”. Professor Chen Jin also participated in the round table conference and proposed some policy suggestions.
