Companied by Professor Chen Jin and Professor Wei Jiang of NIIM, Dr. Dundar F. Kocaoglu, Chairman of American Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology, senior professor of Department of Engineering and Technology Management in Portland State University, visited NIIM by invitation On Mar. 20, 2008.
Professor Chen introduced particularly the history, teachers and students, achievements, academic communication, international cooperation, social service, academic conferences, talent training and etc. for the guest, and accompanied the guest to visit the information room and fundamental facilities for scientific research. Dr. Kocaoglu expressed his admiration for achievements NIIM got, especially his interest for the five successful and continuous ISMOT series international conference. Meanwhile, Dr. Kocaoglu introduced that ten successful and continuous PICMET were hold since 1991 and PICMET had become one of the three international conferences which had the longest history and the best influence in fields of engineering and technology management. Both sides agreed on the further cooperation.
