The delegation of Professor Shi Yongjiang and Dr. Ali of CambridgeUniversity visited NIIM on July 21, 2008. Professor Wu Xiaobo, Director of NIIM, Professor Guo Bin and Associate Professor Shou Yongyi extended a warm welcome for the delegation. The two sides held a academic exchange conference in a cordial and lively atmosphere in the conference room of NIIM.
Professor Shi Yongjiang delivered a wonderful speech for all academics and doctors of NIIM on the forefront of global manufacturing, introduced research road of the International Manufacturing Institute at the University of Cambridge for more than a decade in the international manufacturing context and so on. He also listened carefully to doctors of NIIM on their research work, discussed with Professor Wu Xiaobo and other participates on DMS-based Global High Value Added Value Network, which concerned by Chinese enterprises, upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry, and ODI strategy issues of network-based global manufacturing for Chinese enterprises as well as other issues.
During the visit, the two sides shared a wide range of opinions and agreed on cooperation on further strengthening the strategic cooperation of two sides, the bilateral exchange of visits between the researchers, the 2008 GMC Conference, cooperation projects of the joint research center Global Manufacturing and Innovation Management of Zhejiang University and Cambridge University in the following new year and other issues.
