Professor Chen Jin shares report on the United States - China -India Science and Technology Policy Conference by invitation

The United States - China -India Science and Technology Policy Conference held in india's technology capital – Bangalore from July 7th to July 9th, 2008. Science and technology policy experts from the United States, China and India had in-depth discussions on the future of science, technology and innovation policy. Professor Chen Jin, First Deputy Director of NIIM, attended the conference by invitation and shared his report together with Dr. R. Chidambaram, Chief Scientific Adviser of the Indian government, and Professor Carl Dahlman, former economist of World Bank and etc. on the General Assembly. Professor Chen Jin called for attention to innovative policy design of open-style and user-oriented, and suggested that we should have further reduction in protection of intellectual property rights of universities and public research institutes in order to fully open to the public and promoting innovation in the whole society. Professor Chen Jin’s proposals drew interest from scholars in the participation of the conference and were discussed deeply.
