Jointly organized by and , Symposium of Open Innovation and Internationalization of R&D is held in . Professors and Ph.D. students attended the symposium are from Zhejiang University, Hasselt University, Aalborg University, KULeuven, NUS etc. Some officials of and executives of big enterprises also attend the symposium. Research findings on open innovation and its appliance in emerging industry and patent technology are shared.

   Prof. Chen Jin, Deputy Executive Dean of Undergraduate School of Zhejiang University, is one of the chairmen of the symposium. The symposium also is an important part of Prof. Chen and Prof. Wim Vanhaverbeke’s project “Based on the internationalization of R&D: open innovation theory construction and empirical research”, sponsored by National Natural Science Funds.
