In the afternoon of March 29 , 2007, the first period  lecture of PIM Forum successfully held at the second floor of academic lecture Hall of Virtual University in Shenzhen Hi-Tech Park. Professor Wu Xiaobo made keynote speech by innovation.

    Begin with talking about the cyclical regularity of technological innovation and product commercialization during the time of nearly a century, Professor Wu focused on introducing the relationship between product innovation and strategies, and  the dynamic law of product innovation and how Chinese high-tech enterprises use Late Development Advantages to catch up with developed countries in a shorter time, using lowing cost and in a faster speed. Professor Wu impressed students with his profound knowledge and vividly speech which won much applause. After the speech, Professor Wu also answered questions and recommended the "world is flat" and other new books.
