    The vice-president of Management school of Zhejiang University and director of NIIM,Professor Wu, made a cooperation contract with Professor Zeng Yong, the president of University of Electronic Science and Technology on the behalves of the two sides.  They also uncovered the plaque together. Following that, Professor Wu Xiaobo, Dr. Zhenggang, College President Zeng Yong, Professor Shi-Ming Li, Professor Lu, professor SHAO Yun fei ,etc., conducted wide communication and discussion on the specific forms and content of the cooperation of the new sub-base and achieved many agreements. Finally, Professor Wu made an academic report named “second innovation and Catching up advantage” which arouse strong interests from the present teachers and the students. The purpose and goal to establish such a sub-base is to implement the national strategy of independent innovation and to expand cooperation net of academics, study and to discuss latest theory achievements of innovation and sustainable competitiveness worldwide, as well as learn from the experiences and lessons of the outstanding innovative enterprises domestic and forgein so as to offer the domestic enterprises with advanced innovation concepts, theory, policy advises as well as methods and tools to promote their independent competitiveness and international competitiveness. It is believed that through joint effort of both sides we can make the NIIM and the sub-base the World-class research centers of national innovation management and sustainable competitive.

    The Research Instituteof Emerging Technology Management is the main institute for innovation management research in the University of Electronic Science and Technology which now consists of 6 professors and doctor supervisor, 6 vice professors, 6 lecturers and abput 20 graduate students. The focus in this institution is on the challenges bought by IT, BT,NT and other newly emerging  technologies to the traditional management thinking and methods. Recently, this institution expanded its research on the creation, evolvement and evaluation of the newly emerging technologies, the identification and expanding of the markets for newly emerging technologies, margin and investment management of newly emerging technologies and the strategic management, organizational innovation and knowledge management based on the reform cased by newly emerging technologies, etc. And it already has formed its characteristic advantaged research directions on the theory and methods of the newly emerging technology management, the strategy and marketing newly technology, financial investment in newly emerging technologies and the organization of human resources management, knowledge innovation and intellectual property management. Recently it builds a good cooperation foundation with NIIM of Zhejiang University. The establishment of the sub-base shows the new level of the cooperation between the two sides. They will launch their substantive cooperation on aspects of cooperate research, joint application of important subjects, high-level personnel  training and  database buliding,etc. Relying on the platform of innovation base, they are to establish close and efficient mechanism for academic exchanges through regular and occasional exchanges, visits and advanced remote video systems.
