According to the invitation of NIIM, world famous master of management, Dr. Goldratt with his 6 person party visited NIIM. They held friendly forum with Director Wu Xiaobo and Professor Shou Yongyi. Dr. Goldratt is Israeli physicist and master of management. In early 1984, he proposed TOC (Theory of Constraints) which could be used to effectively breakthrough the bottleneck in the development of enterprise so as to achieve breakthrough growth. Thousands of enterprises all over the world made extraordinary progresses by adopting TOC including General Electric (GE), Proctor & Gamble, AT & T, Philips, and Boeing. He was honored by”Future” Magazine as Master of “industry guru”.
Professor Wu Xiaobo deeply discussed with Dr. Goldratt on TOC and the feasibility of its application in Chinese enterprises. Dr. Goldratt introduced some successful cases of using TOC. Both of them hope they could strengthen cooperation on science research and teaching in the future, especially in how to promote the application of TOC to MBA and EMBA students.
