The highest Chinese level of International Innovation Forum - the first Pujiang Innovation Forum held during May 18-19 in Shanghai Dongjiao Hotel. Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Minister Wan Gang of the State Ministry of Science and Technology; Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng; Xu Guanhua, Chairman of the Forum, Director of the CPPCC National Committee of science and education, cultural, health and sports; Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee Zhao Qizheng and other leaders attended the opening ceremony. Professor Wei Jiang of Zhejiang University was invited to participate in this forum as a member of the Committee of Experts and shared his report of "speed up the development of knowledge-intensive service industries, expanding domestic demand and enhancing research of industrial competitiveness".
Professor Wei Jiang pointed out that the development of knowledge-intensive service industries in China has the strategic importance for building an innovative country, promoting good and fast national economic development, stimulating domestic demand and promoting the consumption of China, and it’s the important breakthrough to improve the international competitiveness of Chinese industry. Professor Wei Jiang also gave the in-depth analysis of the facing problems and policy obstacles during China's knowledge-intensive service sector development, and insisted that we must break the current obstacles to the institutional mechanisms, change the concept of “short, smooth and fast” performance, put forward corresponding policies for innovation in the service industry, and put knowledge -intensive service industries into high-tech industries to support the development of China's knowledge-intensive service industry.
