The four-delegation led by Academician Xu Ruiqing visited Daqing Oilfield from July 27th to August 10th for two weeks despite the hot weather. The main leadership and the relevant departments of Daqing Oilfield extended warm welcome for the delegation and provided support for the delegation actively.
Daqing Oilfield is a state-owned large enterprise with brilliant half-century-old history, mainly engaged in oil and gas exploration and development, drilling, infrastructure, scientific research and design, fine chemicals, machinery manufacturing as well as services of water and telecommunications protection. After 49 years of development, Daqing produced a total of 1,950,000,000 tons of crude oil, which accounting for more than 40% of the total output in the same period in China, and funded a variety of over 1 trillian yuan for the state.
Daqing Oilfield created for the state not only great material wealth, but also created a large set of exploiting theory and engineering technology series relating great heterogeneous sandstone oilfield geological development; fostered a "Loving, Entrepreneurial, Truth-seeking, Dedication" as the main content of the spirit of Daqing as so-called Iron Man Spirit, as well as other fine traditions; formed a unique corporate culture; innovated a renowned brand of Daqing in home and abroad which becoming an important part of the Chinese nation spirit.
The visit concluded the independent innovation road as it main line by forms of inspection, interview and looking up data and so on. After had in-depth communication with staff at all levels, Academician Xu Qingrui put forward a number of constructive ideas on the innovation and development of Daqing Oilfield and discussed with the leaders of Daqing Oilfield on methods of the university-industry cooperation in the future.
