Liu Ning, Director of R&D Department of headquarters of Haier Group, and Wu Guohao of Scientific and Technological Achievements Transferring Department of Haier Group visited NIIM on September 22, 2008 and discussed cooperation issues of both sides. Professor Wu Xiaobo, Director of NIIM, Professor Chen Jin, Deputy Director of NIIM and Vice Dean Professor Wei Jiang extended a warm welcome for the guests. Professor Wu Xiaobo introduced the history, elegant demeanor of teachers and students, academic exchanges, international cooperation, social services, academic conferences, training and so on in detail for the guest and hoped to cooperate with Haier Group to make further contribution to the global brand---Haier. Director Liu Ning expressed sincere appreciation to the research team of NIIM which led by Academician Xu Qingrui for NIIM’s contribution for technological innovation strategy, innovation system, personnel training, enhancing Haier’s innovation practice over the years, introduced the challenges in the current phase during the process of a global brand strategy as well as new initiatives in organizational change, process reengineering, globalization and so on, especially a number of practical problems encountered in management change, structure of R&D system, inventory management R&D and management of research and development team, and hoped to further strengthen the cooperation with NIIM in these areas. The two sides discussed around above-mentioned topics and reached cooperation.
Associate Professor Shou Yongyi, Dr. Zheng Gang, Dr. Zhu Ling and Dr. Zhu Jianzhong and etc. also took part in the exchange.
