After Mr. Yao Jingyuan, chief economist of National Bureau of Statistics as well as part-time professor of Zhejiang University, shared a brilliant academic report of "China's macro-economic: Status and Prospects" with teachers and students in Zhejiang University report, Yao visited NIIM in the afternoon of June 6 together with Mr. Pan Jiancheng, deputy director of the Center for Monitoring and Professor Wei Jiang, deputy director of NIIM and other members by high spirit. Also, Mr. Yao had a friendly exchange with Professor Xu Qingrui ,one of academicians of the ChineseAcademy of Engineering as well as consultant of NIIM, and other members on the next step of cooperation of both sides. After hearing about the introduction of features of the development of NIIM and achievements of NIIM in aspects of the development of scientific research, domestic and foreign academic exchanges, personnel training and social services and etc. in recent years, Yao Jingyuan expressed admiration for the history, fruitful academic achievements, and the high level research team with a global outlook which combined three generations, and expressed the further cooperation will with NIIM to make greater contributions to build our innovation-oriented country by complementing each other and sharing resources with each other in innovative research collaboration. The two sides discussed on form of cooperation, breakthrough, operating mechanism, form of the outcome and so on, and reached the intention of cooperation on the joint establishment of ChinaInnovationEvaluationResearchCenter and so on.
National Bureau of Statistics and NIIM had a good foundation for cooperation before such as joint release of environmental assessment reports of national large and medium-sized cities in 2006 which received a good response.
