A seminar, which aimed at improving capacity of official leaders on services of entrepreneurship and innovation, was held jointly by the Organization Department of CPC Municipal Committee of Shangyu City and Shangyu Municipal Party School from July 22nd to July 23rd, 2008. Professor Cai Ning and Dr. Zheng Gang of NIIM shared their counseling report reports on "Technological Innovation and Enterprise Development" and "Position and Role of Government in Promote Independent Innovations " respectively by invitation and received good effect.

This seminar is one of the specific measures to carry out the in-depth spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, to fully implement the total strategy "Entrepreneurship Makes Zhejiang People Rich, Innovation Makes Zhejiang Province Strong", to improve capability of independent innovation of Fuyang, to strengthen the construction of innovative talent team and promote innovative city construction. The seminar focused on the independent science and technology innovation and economic and social development of Shangyu and innovative talent training and other themes through forms of classroom teaching, group discussion, research and study and so on. The seminar is beneficial for the attending members to enhance profound understanding of independent innovation the awareness and ability of independent innovation.
