On Sept. 7th and 8th, the 2-day seminar of IDRC project is held in Room 1102 Office Building, Zijingang Campus. This IDRC project, “Innovation Systems for Inclusive Development: Lessons from Rural China and India”, is jointly completed by NIIM and CRP (led by Dr. Rajeswari S. Raina). This project was from 2009, and will be finished in the end of 2011, lasting for 3 years.

This seminar can be considered as preparation meeting of the forthcoming interim report meeting with India side. Teachers in the research team (Prof. Wu Xiaobo, Prof. Guo Bin, Associate Prof. Shou Yongyi, Prof. Huang Zuhui, Researcher Gu Shulin etc.) and 8 PH.D get together, summing up the achievements in the front part of the project and preparing related materials on contacting with India. In the seminar, research finding in the investigation, problems and further research demands in the future are put forward. The teacher and the students discuss on these aspects.

After the reports, more details on research method, research contrast framework, IDRC interim reports materials and personnel arrangement has been discussed. In the end, the date of another discussion, as a foundation of Globelics Meeting, on Oct. 8th and 9th has been arranged.

IDRC is a well-known international public institutions proved by Canadian Parliament, who support financial and technical assistance to help developing countries with their appliance of technology and research in agriculture, forestry, resource development and environment protection, etc.
