Academic Symposium of Chinese Enterprise Management Case Study and Theory Construction (2010), also called 4th Management Symposium of Renmin University of China, jointly conducted by School of Business of Renmin University of China and Management World Magazine, is held in Yifu Conference Center in Renmin University of China on Nov.6th and Nov.7th. The theme of the symposium is “Explore the Path to Local Theory Construction”.

Prof. Kimberly D. Elsbach (University of California, Davis), Prof. Pan Shanlin (National University of Singapore), and Prof. Michael Young (Hong Kong Baptist University) is invited to paper report.

Enterprise Network Evolution and Organizational Learning Balance based on Secondary Innovation Dynamic Process: Haitian Longitudinal Case Studies 1970-2010, written by Wu Xiaobo, Peng Xinmin and Wu Dong, has been honored by Best Excellent Paper Award. This is the third time that Prof. Wu has received the same honor.

Prof. Wu Xiaobo has dedicated in theory construction of secondary innovation for about 20 years. His innovation management theory construction “Secondary Innovation Theory System” has been proved efficient by international academic area as well as business circles. He has published many papers in Business World Magazine, LEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, Industry and Innovation, and other SSCI journals, which has been highly rated by Master of Disruptive Innovation Clayton M. Christensen (Professor of Harvard Business School).

In the past three symposiums, there are 325 papers in total from more than 100 colleges, universities and research institutions, 254 of which are research cases and 71 of which are teaching cases. 119 research cases and 34 teaching cases are collected. And 12 most excellent papers are published on Business World; while 6 papers are published on Frontiers of Business Research in China.

This symposium collects 5 papers from School of Management, Zhejiang University. One of 5 has been honored Best Paper. This is the third year that papers of School of Management have been chosen and published in Business World Magazine, which is the best proof to see our advantages on case studies.
