Prof. Wu attends Sub-project AEGIS of FP7 in Portugal

On Oct. 27th to 29th, the 4th meeting of Sub-project AEGIS (Advancing Knowledge-Intensive Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Economic Growth and Social Well-being in Europe) has been held in Lisbon, Portugal.

AEGIS aims to strengthen KIE and innovation in Europe and improve social welfare. Main targets of AEGIS are as follows: firstly, features, boundary, range and incentive of KIEs on micro level; secondly, relationship to KIEs and economic development/social welfare on macro level; thirdly, connecting and integrating different policy settings on political level.

As a member of AEGIS from China, main task for NIIM includes research and conclusion of knowledge innovation system and experiences of knowledge-intensive business, as well as comparative study of main emerging economies such as India and Russia.

Based on the prophase work, Prof. Wu Xiaobo gives a report on experiences of knowledge-intensive business in China, and discusses the project with Prof. Franco Malerba of Bocconi University and some other experts from India and Russia.
