On April 12, No.1 Venture Capital Investor in Asia Dr. Li Zongnan is invited in . During his 3 days visiting, he has met Vice President Wu Ping of ZJU, Prof. Chen Jin (Deputy Executive Dean of ), Prof. Ying Fangtian (Deputy Executive Dean of Zhejiang University Innovation Institute, International) and several professors from of as well as other departments. He also visits , West Hangzhou Technology and Innovation Industry Cluster, Hangzhou Alumni Association of ZJU, INSIGMA Company and so on.

As a Chinese American who was born in Mainland China and grew up in Taiwan, Dr. Li is a well-known venture investor who has plentiful experiences on areas of information industry, venture investment and innovation management over three decades. He is the founder of several venture science parks in , , Zhangjiang Area in . He also helps Acer and other Chinese enterprises become world-class enterprises.

He is now 72 years old, and all he wants to do during his visiting in is to contribute to his country and his university by spreading his experiences on venture investment and innovation management.

On April 13, he brought us a speech on “Entrepreneurial Success Factors and Financing Strategic Thinking”. After the lecture, Prof. Chen Jin awards him an Honored Tutor Certification of Venture Investment and Innovation.

In the lecture, he concludes his life by 3 level like pyramid structure. The bottom level is “PEOPLE FIRST”, the middle level is “After the First People to Work”, and topmost is “9 ELEMENTS” (determination, confidence, persistence, charms, courage, capability, imagination, communication and execution).

He says meaningful, “Life is the most important business, and we should start with the end in mind. Everyone should think about your own life plan, and write it down.” When asked his own life plan, he points the words “” and “” on the screen, and says, “The bridge between and is my life plan.” Dr. Li’s speech impresses all the teachers and students.

After that, Prof. Chen Jin awards a certification of “Honored Tutor of College”. From now on, Dr. Li has become a member of the whole ZJU Family.
