Associate Professor Zheng Gang talks over MGIM Project in Poole School of Management of North Carolina State University

During April 10 to 17, Associate Professor Zheng Gang of NIIM is invited to Poole School of Management of . As the director of MGIM Project (Master of Global Innovation Management) of ZJU side, Associate Professor Zheng meets Poole’s director of MGIM Project Prof. John McCreery for the jointly project with IAE-Aix. Details of MGIM, such as enrollment, admission, teacher resources, practical projects, international exchange, logistics, are mentioned. During his visit, he also gives a lecture on “The China Way of Project Management” for students from NCSU and IAE-Aix.

On April 13 and 14, Associate Professor Zheng Gang attends CIMS 2011 Symposium held by The Center for Innovation Management Studies, and meets more than 30 experts and scholars from academia and industry. Then Associate Professor Zheng visits Prof. Li Bailian in charge of academic affairs, Vice President Prof. Terri Lomax in charge of research and innovation, Mr. Michael Bustel in charge of foreign affairs and Prof. Ira Weiss, president of Poole School of Management. President Li indicates that NCSU thinks highly of the cooperation with , and President of Poole School of Management Ira Weiss also expects more and more research cooperation and teachers/students exchange between NCSU and ZJU through MGIM. Associate Professor Zheng Gang also visits of at Chapel Hill, and in the company of Prof. John McCreery.

Nowadays, innovation has become the core of country, regional and industrial competitiveness. And high-level innovative management talents with international vision, entrepreneurship, innovation capability and social responsibility seem more and more important. Therefore, the three sides (School of Management of ZJU, Poole School of Management and IAE-Aix) plan to cooperate in MGIM Project in 2012 (Master of Global Innovation Management) relying on their own advantages, and in 2011, there will be a test of it. The predecessor project of MGIM was Double-Master Project founded by NCSU and IAE-Aix in 2008.

The new join of , undoubtedly, makes MGIM Project one of the most attractive triple-college cultivating projects across Asia, North America and who have the strongest economic strength and innovative vigor among innovation management area through the world.
